Last April, Sarah surprised us all with a 4/5 day trip to New York City. It's a place that's been my absolute dream location for my entire life. I guess it all stems from being brought up with American action movies, sit coms and of course HOME ALONE 2: LOST IN NEW YORK. ;) We would be there over April 4th which is my birthday but more importantly it marked the 10th year that Sarah and I have been together.
A few folks seemed surprised that we planned and took the trip with our two kids and didn't go it alone. The fact is that is though that we do truly love taking holidays/trips together as a family and the thought of not going with them wouldn't sit right. A trip like this, which for us, is a trip of a life time ($$$) and to share it with them would be absolutely awesome.
The trip coincided with me starting to vlog (If you've not checked out our YouTube channel its here). I vlogged the entire trip. Not very well I might add. I didn't actually publish anything for a few months, I guess plucking the courage up to put yourself out there takes a while. Now though, I went back through the footage and strung our NYC tale together. It's a bit flawed, a bit incoherent at times but it documents a whirlwind trip that I'm so glad I have to look back on.
We learnt a lot from this trip, parenting, adulting, being a tourist, trying not to be a tourist. So if you've got any q's check out the videos below and drop us a comment on our YouTube channel.
Here's a bunch of photographs from the trip too.
Thanks for reading, hope you're all well. x
